Guests were greeted with warm words of welcome from Mrs. Katharine Graham on February 15, 2001 as The Washington Post hosted the second Conversation Changers Awards. "I'm deeply concerned," said Mrs. Graham, "about the fate of young people in this city. For far too many years, teen pegnancy has been a major problem in Washington, DC, and one that hurts us all. "
Awards were presented to: The Latin American Youth Center; Parent Peer
Educators of Redemption Ministry; Hal Donofrio of Campaign for Our
Children; Fern Johnson-Clarke, PhD., of the State Center for Health
